Lamp Post Therapy Center’s Sensory School is accepting applications for future openings. We are looking for dynamic and dedicated teachers to join our team. Our small class of up to 5 neurodiverse students is focused on developing social and emotional skills, self-regulation skills, and preparing for success in adulthood.
Responsibilities:
- Adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs
- Provide a structured and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with an assistant teacher and occupational and speech therapists to support student development
- Attend and participate in training sessions over the summer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Experience working with neurodiverse students preferred
- Certification in special education or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of each student

We are accepting applications for an assistant teacher for future openings at The Lamp Post Sensory School. Our small class of up to 5 neurodiverse students is focused on developing social and emotional skills, self-regulation skills, and preparing for success in adulthood.
As an assistant teacher, you will work alongside our experienced educators to support the classroom learning environment and help students reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
- assisting teachers with lesson planning
- preparing materials for activities
- guiding student behavior
- providing individualized attention to students
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma and previous experience working in an educational setting. A background in early childhood education is preferred.
